HELLO!! IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE??

We have some good news that we’re excited to share! YES, there will be a NEMA Conference this year! Save the dates now for Friday & Saturday, May 19 and 20, 2023, and for field trips on Sunday the 21st. The Conference will again be held at Sunday River Grand Summit Hotel & Conference Center in Newry, Maine. We’ll have the traditional conference activities with talks, silent and live auctions, exhibits, dealer’s wing, and a hospitality suite. We’ll have the reservation code for Sunday River on the website within a few weeks, and more information as our planning firms up.

A SPECIAL REQUEST TO TEACHERS AND HOME SCHOOLERS: We are trying to determine if we would have ample participation to produce Education Day for students in Grades 3-12, and we need your input. Would you please send an e-mail to Jan at this link and let me know if you can commit to attending Education Day on Friday, May 19 (in the 9am -2pm timeframe), and if so, how many students you’d be bringing? Since the pandemic shutdowns, we are uncertain what schools and groups are able/willing to do regarding field trips, and we want to make sure we have enough attendance to summon our 100+ volunteers to action for the day. Please let us know by February 15th so we can make a timely decision.

We’ll be increasing communications with our followers as we get closer to Conference time, but for now, please save the dates! After the Tucson show has concluded (mid to late February), we’ll provide contact information for dealer and participant registrations; registrations sent to us prior to that time will be refused and a new registration will be required. Jeff, the NEMA Board members and I are very much looking forward to seeing all of you again in person, at the 3rd and final attempt at the 8th Annual New England Mineral Conference.
