Another opportunity to purchase great minerals & gems, talk rocks, and see your mineral friends is fast approaching in a short 2 ½ months!
Plan your trip now to spend Saturday, September 18, 2021 with NEMA at the Havey Quarry (34 Levine Road, Poland, Maine) for our regular Annual Mineral Tailgate Sale.
The sale will begin at 9am and shut down by 4pm.
Non-collecting tours of the Havey will be held at the top of the hour from 10am through 3pm. (Meet to the left of the cul-de-sac for the tours.)
We’ll again have a variety of foods (sure to be hot dogs) for purchase.
We will also have an area for kids to sluice and further explore minerals. (Details on that are still being worked out.)
There will be parking ON SITE (Please don’t park on Hardscrabble Road. Please do park where you are asked to park by the attendants. Much of Levine Road fronts on our personal lawns; we don’t want to ruin land/hardscaping.)
And note again, there is no collecting on the roads or side trails, at the house lots or during the tour at the Havey properties.
We have very tolerant neighbors and ask that you be mindful and respectful of them, as well.
