NEMA Mineral Tailgate Sale

We're looking forward to an exemplary day on Sunday, June 9, 2024 for the shifted/rescheduled Spring Into Summer Mineral Tailgate Sale.

Address to put into your GPS/phone is: 34 Levine Road, Poland, Maine. Once you've turned onto Levine Road, you'll be in the midst of the Tailgate.

Hours will remain 9am to 4pm with vendors selling minerals and mineral-related items.

We'll have an expanded Kid's Area once again, with glow-in-the-dark minerals, an area to look at minerals under a microscope, and the ever-popular sluice pools where kids can sift a bag of mine tailings for various minerals found in the mine.

Non-collecting tours of the mine will take place at 10a, 11a, Noon, 1p, 2p, and 3p.

Lunch will be for sale across the meal time hours, and there will be a lot of rock talk. (Be sure to ask any of the miners what they've found this summer during their efforts.)

Entry and on-site parking for the event area free of charge.

We're disappointed we couldn't hold it on Saturday, but the rain looks like it will be fairly significant. We are very pleased that Sunday is looking like a better weather day, and that we can still hold the event *this* weekend.
